Our crews spend their days outdoors on real restoration sites across Vancouver Island. The work is physical, technical, and seasonal, and the people who do it well share a respect for the land and a willingness to learn.
Our field teams are built from a few core roles. We aren't always hiring for each one, but this is the work we do and the people we look for.
Our most common role and the entry point to the work: hands-on invasive management and restoration work in the field.
An experienced technician who leads a crew on site and keeps the work rolling and to spec.
A certification that supplements any field role, for precise and responsible herbicide use.
Running excavators, RTVs, and trucks on environmentally sensitive sites.
The hub of every project: project managers run site assessments, build quotes, plan and schedule the work, lead field teams, monitor budgets, and guide each project to its best execution.
We hire Environmental Field Technicians most often, and our crews grow each fall, when planting season brings our highest demand for seasonal staff. If the timing isn't right when you reach out, we keep strong candidates in mind.
You're adaptable on your feet. We do a lot of different things, so the best people shift gears easily and think on the fly. You're a problem-solver, eager to learn new skills and sharpen the ones you already have, comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, and at home in a small, tight crew. Prior species knowledge isn't required for entry-level roles, but a willingness to learn is.
